The GSO Programme on Diabetes and Social Responsibility is now in its third major phase, having moved from formulation to implementation, with pilot projects designed to test and evaluate a Workplace Strategy for Diabetes and Wellness. Visitors are encouraged to view the GSO Projects pages for additional details on this exciting new development. More information on current activities of the GSO may also be found there.

The GSO Programme on Diabetes and Social Responsibility is implementing a Workplace Strategy on Diabetes and Wellness that was adopted at a multistakeholder forum in September 2008.  Following guidance from forum participants and with an unrestricted grant from MSD/Merck, the GSO has introduced the Workplace Strategy through workshops or seminars in three countries - Poland, Turkey and Russia. We have posted the agendas and meeting reports for all three, in English and in the national language here. We look forward to working with our local partners in each country to apply the Workplace Strategy in pilot projects in a variety of workplace settings.

 
 

First Meeting of the Friends of the GSO

We convened our first annual "Friends of the GSO" meeting on 15 May 2009 and managed to fit over 30 of our Friends into our new Conference Room at 220 Route de Ferney. We invite all interested supporters of our GSO projects to joins as a Friend of the GSO to receive our Quarterly Reports and other news alerts, as well as participate in our annual anniversary celebration.
